23 year old girl emerges as the first ever Miss wheel chair pageant winner.

A student from Belarus has been crowned Miss Wheelchair World at the inaugural beauty pageant which took place in Warsaw, Poland on Saturday. Aleksandra Chichikova, who studies psychology and social pedagogy, was awarded first prize ahead of runner-up Lebohang Monyatsi (South Africa) in the global competition, which involved 24 female contestants from 19 different countries. “Fight your anxiety and your fears,” the 23-year-old winner said at the celebratory contest gala, where contestants donned national costumes noted. “I am convinced my life can illustrate that a person may be successful, strong, purpose-driven, beautiful and attractive regardless of how he moves,” her contestant profile reads.

Lilian Ericaah Maraule crowned Miss Universe Tanzania 2017

Miss Universe Tanzania 2017 held at National Museum Auditorium on 28th October 2017 crowned Lilian Ericaah Maraule the prestigious title of Miss Universe Tanzania. She will be now representing Tanzania in Miss Universe 2017 that is to be held next month in Las Vegas, Nevada. Anitha Fred and Melody Tryphone were declared as the first and second runner-up respectively. Lilian is 23 years of age and stands tall at a height of 177 cm, was crowned by Miss Universe Tanzania 2016 Jihan Dimack. Lilian belongs from Dar es Salaam and works at Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) International, besides being a model. Top 5 contestants. After winning the title, "I am happy and extremely delighted to win such big title, it's just like a dream come true", remarked Lilian Ericaah Maraule. Flaviana Matata represented Tanzania in its very first participation in 2007. Nne ijoro njo Biko, tufiakwa!! 😀

Reigning Miss Health Africa, Queen Esther Otuonye loses mum to the cold hands of death after battling heavily with cancer. Mrs Victoria Otuonye, 42, died on her birthday in Federal Medical Center, Keffi after battling with breast cancer. Her subtle demise has left a sad look on the faces of her children and extended family. The tragic news comes just two weeks after Queen Esther Otuonye’s Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign held in Lagos.

It was a sorrowful moment for former Nigerian beauty queen Jennifer Okechukwu as she buries her late dad amidst tears and mourning in Enugu. Jennifer Okechukwu who held the post of face of culture Africa 2015 was visibly described as the best and most influential beauty queen during her reign due to the multiple humanitarian projects she carried out successfully before handling over her crown. Her late dad Chief Alhaji Luke I Okechukwu (ogbuefi chinyelugo 1) of Enugu State was also known as the IGWE NDI IGBO dutse FCT as well as the chairman of Ogugu Community Union in Abuja FCT . He was partly into politics late back in 1999 as the treasurer of APP party at Sokoto. Late Chief Luke Okechukwu was a very peaceful man before his death. Our heart goes out to her at this grief moment of mourning and we pray that the good Lord grant her and the family the fortitude to bear the loss .
