Model charged to court for trying to kill husband's second wife

Tara Lambert, a former model is accused of trying to hire a hit man to kill the mother of her two stepdaughters.

. The 35-year-old Ashville woman pleaded not guilty and denied all charges. Lambert is suing her original attorney claiming he provided ineffective counsel.

. The model intended to kill her husband's ex-wife, Kellie Cooke. Lambert’s intentions came into light when the hit man she hired turned to be an undercover police officer. Lambert suggested the officer to use a wood chipper to dispose of Mrs. Cooke's body.

The model insisted in court that she was merely joking but was found guilty after further investigation. Tara was arrested after giving the undercover police officer a photograph of Kellie Cooke and a $125 payment to have her killed.
