PalmPay faces questions after N750m moves from KudiWave account during restriction

Image
PalmPay Limited is facing questions over transactions involving N750,369,439.04 from the account of KudiWave Technologies Limited while the account was under restriction and the legal process affecting the funds was being challenged. PalmPay has maintained that the July 15 transfer was carried out pursuant to the June 29 order of the Federal High Court concerning funds standing to KudiWave’s credit. KudiWave, however, disputes that explanation as sufficient, arguing that the key questions are whether the transaction complied with the precise terms of the court process, where the money was sent and why funds were moved while its challenge to the June 29 order was already before the court. KudiWave said it only became aware of the full extent of the transactions after access to the account was restored. Its records showed that funds were moved on July 11, 2026 and returned the same day before another debit of N750,369,439.04 was recorded on July 15 under the narration “Judicial Adj...

Why “Mumu Love” Is Not Really About Being a Fool

Image
By Emanvee At first glance, the title “Mumu Love” sounds playful. For many Nigerians, the phrase is often used to describe someone who loves too much, trusts too easily, or stays committed even when they are being taken for granted. But beneath its familiar expression, Emanvee’s “Mumu Love” explores something much deeper. Rather than mocking people who love wholeheartedly, the song challenges a culture that sometimes treats kindness, loyalty, and emotional honesty as weaknesses. From the opening verse, Emanvee tells the story of someone who gave everything they could to a relationship. “I give you my heart, no condition attached.” The line immediately establishes the character at the center of the song. This is not someone playing games or keeping score. It is someone who genuinely wanted to love another person without reservation. Unfortunately, that love is not returned with the same sincerity. Throughout the song, the narrator reflects on being overlooked, taken for granted, an...

Nigerians turn to Monica Cash as search for reliable bitcoin to naira platforms grows

Monica.cash App is increasingly becoming part of conversations within Nigeria’s digital asset market as more crypto users search for reliable bitcoin to naira platforms capable of handling faster and smoother withdrawals. Concerns around failed transactions, delayed settlements, cancelled trades and fake payment confirmations have continued pushing many crypto users to look beyond manual peer to peer systems for more dependable withdrawal options. For many Nigerians handling regular crypto transactions, reliability is gradually becoming more important than speed alone, especially for users receiving payments through stablecoins and other digital assets from international clients. Monica Cash, which has spent the last three years supporting Nigerians with automated crypto withdrawals, is increasingly filling that gap through direct payout systems designed to simplify crypto to naira transactions and reduce the uncertainty linked to manual peer to peer trading. The Monica.cash app supp...

The capital commitment marks a defining moment for the platform and signals the beginning of an aggressive growth phase for a product that has quietly been solving one of the most frustrating daily problems in Nigerian commerce.  The decision to liquidate overseas business interests and redirect the proceeds into a Nigerian startup is not a common one.
