Nollywood actress Queeneth Agbor Receives NCoS Award for Supporting Inmates

Nollywood actress and philanthropist, Queeneth Agbor, has been honoured by the Nigerian Correctional Service, Zone A Headquarters, Lagos, for her contributions to the rehabilitation and welfare of inmates.

Agbor, who is the founder of Strength Beyond Walls Foundation, received an Award of Appreciation from the Service in recognition of her sustained support for initiatives designed to improve the lives of inmates and facilitate their reintegration into society.

The recognition highlights the growing importance of partnerships between correctional authorities and organisations working to provide inmates with opportunities for rehabilitation and personal development.

Speaking on the award, Agbor said it would inspire her to do more for people in correctional facilities.

“I am deeply grateful to the Nigerian Correctional Service, Zone A Headquarters, for this recognition. It means a lot to me because the work we do through Strength Beyond Walls Foundation is driven by the belief that every individual deserves hope, dignity and an opportunity to rebuild,” she said.

The actress said the foundation would continue to promote programmes that equip inmates with relevant skills while helping them regain confidence and prepare for life after incarceration.

“This award is not just about me; it is about everyone who believes in giving people a second chance,” Agbor added.

She said no individual should be defined permanently by incarceration, noting that rehabilitation should remain focused on transformation and reintegration.

Agbor further appreciated the individuals and organisations that have supported Strength Beyond Walls Foundation, saying collective action remained essential to achieving lasting impact.
