Classic Event! Miss Angola Wins Miss Africa 2016 Pageant (Photos )

Neurite Mendes who represented Angola at the maiden edition of Miss Africa 2016 on Saturday night beat 17 other delegates from various countries in Africa to emerge the winner of the international pageant.

The event which attracted top dignitaries and celebrities in Nigeria took place at the International Conference Center, Tinapa Calabar and was hosted by the Executive Governor of Cross River state; Senator Ben Ayade.
Celebrities present at the event includes the likes of hip hip artiste Kiss Daniel, IK Osakoduwa, Dija, Victoria Kimani, Kate Henshaw, Uti Nwachukwu, VJ Adams, Kunle Ogunrinde among others.


The new queen took home $25,00, a brand new ford car and was awarded the first Miss Africa Climate Change ambassador.

Miss South Africa and Miss Cameroon emerged as the first and second runner-ups respectively.
The beauty pageant with the theme “Green
Economy, a tool for Sustainable Development" was indeed a successful one.
